Underwater photography is usually done while scuba diving, but can be done while diving on surface supply, snorkeling, swimming, from a submersible or remotely operated underwater vehicle, or from automated cameras lowered from the surface. Underwater photography is probably one of the most difficult photographs to capture. It requires a very specialized equipment and the knowledge of some advanced techniques to get a perfect picture. Difficult aspects to calculate underwater can be correct exposure, accurate focus, controlled movement of your subject and a pleasing colour balance. The most difficult out of all the challenges is having to deal with low light. Underwater photos offen suffer from loss of color and contrast when taken at a significant depth. Such photos are always adjusted with color balance to help offset the blueish tint of the water.
