Hua Tunan Creates Art With a Splash

Chen Yingjie (aka: Hua Tunan) is a Foshan based artist and he’s recently released a new series of splatter portraits through the Edge Creative Collective. He truly knows how to make art with a splash. Hua Tunan is one of the leading young artists in the world of Chinese street art. Hua Tunan was trained in classical Chinese painting and you can really notice in his unique style of illustration. Tunan’s ‘splatter’ portraits feel busy and chaotic but once you spend enough time looking at them they become unified with their harmonius balance.

Impressive Art With a Splash

Creating portraits from the method of splattering paint can be quite difficult and making it look so surreal and expressive can only come from genuine talent. He chooses a wide variety of animals in his portraits, everything from rabbits, to eagles and lions just to name a few.
