Vince Low is an illustrator from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He’s worked in a variety of advertising agencies. He’s worked his way up, starting as a designer and now holds the title as the Head of Illustration at Grey Group Kuala Lumpur.
Low’s scribbled pencil drawings are all of “A” class musicians and super heroes, like Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Lee, Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker to just name a few. These celebrity sketches are very loosely drawn with such high attention to detail. Low has a gift of capturing the personality in every sketch he makes.
Pencil Drawings with a unique Scribbling Style
Vince Low describes the process in which he takes to create his pencil drawings, “When I was planning the execution style, I was looking for something that screams simplicity, which I intended to balance out with some complex crafting. I started off by scribbling on my sketchbook, trying to find a direction. And over time, I discovered something in those scribbles – potential. I knew that it would be a challenge for me to scribble out and capture the souls and characters of those people in the portraits. For that reason, I was determined to make a breakthrough by bringing my crafting skills to a whole new level.” You can view Vince Low’s full series on his website or on the Behance Network.
